A Day in the Life

The Treasury Manager I – Debt & Collateral is a key contributor to the Treasury team, responsible for managing secured debt facilities, optimizing loan collateral utilization, and overseeing borrowing base reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the company’s funding needs are met while maintaining compliance with credit agreements and maximizing operational efficiency.  Reports to the VP Treasurer.  Supervisory experience preferred.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Trading Desk Development: Assist in building an internal trading desk to facilitate both internal and external loan sales, including developing processes, tracking systems, and reporting frameworks to support efficient loan sale activities.
  • Debt and Facility Management: Incorporate secured debt facilities additions into cash forecasting and funding operations. Oversee secured debt facilities, including the preparation and review of borrowing base calculations and funding notices.  Maintain strong relationships with lenders, addressing inquiries and facilitating funding processes, & facility and covenant reporting.
  • Collateral Optimization: Optimize loan collateral allocation to maximize advance rates across multiple facilities and investor loan funds.
  • Collateral Management: Lead the completion & expansion of the third-party Collateral Management System (“CMS”) to monitor and track the availability, eligibility, and status of pledged collateral across available facilities.  Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency in debt and collateral management with CMS functionality & enhancements.
  • Risk & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with credit agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.  Support audit requests and maintain documentation for facility compliance.  Partner with internal teams, such as Capital Markets and Loan Servicing, to ensure seamless collateral and funding operations.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Treasury team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including Capital Markets, Accounting and Loan Servicing, to support liquidity, funding, and reporting needs.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics required
  • MBA, CFA or CTP preferred
  • 8 years’ relevant experience in financial services
  • Strong Treasury background
  • Knowledge of capital markets, accounting, finance
  • Knowledge of MS Office with strong proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP and Treasury management systems preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented

COMPENSATION RANGE

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$150,000 annually.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional standing, lifting, carrying of 20lbs or less, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder.  Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
