Staff Accountant

Position: Staff Accountant

Location: ONSITE Tulsa, OK 

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Comp:  $48000 – 65000K Annual

SBCS are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients’ growing team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting functions and supporting the financial operations of our company. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

– Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

– Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

– Reconcile bank and credit card statements

– Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

– Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

– Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

– Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for budget variances

– Assist with annual audits and tax filings

– Maintain accurate and organized financial records

– Support the preparation of financial reports for management and clients

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

– Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

– 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance

– CPA certification is preferred

– Strong understanding of GAAP principles

– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks, NetSuite, etc.)

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

– Strong attention to detail and accuracy

– Ability to work independently and in a team environment

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Prior experience in a consulting firm is a plus
