Overview

Softtek Government Solutions, is seeking a Project Manager to support our government client.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will lead the separate development teams in close coordination with the Program Manager, ITPMs, and the Product Owners.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Skills/Education Experience: Bachelor’s degree with eight (8) or more years of relevant project management experience in an Enterprise software development environment including experience in the application of methodologies related to software lifecycle management and agile.  

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification              
  • Experience in the application of methodologies related to software lifecycle management and agile
  • Experience with requirements tools and tracking such as JIRA
  • Experience coordinating activities with multiple stakeholders including technical stakeholders well with other
  • Experience defining all project activities and milestones required to meet objectives and deliverables, properly sequencing tasks and estimating effort with project team members doing the work, determining the critical path, and proposing alternatives to meet project schedules in coordination with other stakeholders.
  • Experience monitoring project execution to identify obstacles and deviations from plan and takes corrective action as needed. 
  • Experience conducting continuous risk assessment and management including developing measures to reduce risk in project execution. 
  • Experience developing metrics and reports for tracking project execution. 
  • Proficient in development of plans, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, communicating progress, resolving conflicts, and escalating issues. 
  • Experience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentation.
  • Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business writing ability
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officials
  • Leading and mentoring teams
