What you will Do:
The Process Area Managers report to the Operations Manager and are responsible for the overall safe and compliant operations of their respective areas; Cascade, Recycle and Assembly, and Balance of Plant Operations. This includes oversight of activities such as ensuring the safe operation of the UF6 processes, proper receipt, storage and handling, and on-site transportation of UF6; machine installation and pump down; integrated system testing; provide oversight in areas of the BOP Operations and Facility Surveillances; future Construction Work in Process (CWIP)/Waste Disposition; and Classified Equipment Control & Centrifuge Disposition. These managers are responsible for the plant utilities operations, process and facility surveillances; CWIP and waste disposition, classified equipment control, centrifuge assembly/storage, transport, disassembly and disposition; UF6 cylinder storage, handling, transportation, and disposition; shift operations; and accountable property assessment, inventory, and segregation. The Process Area Managers are responsible for directing the activities of the Cascade, Recycle Assembly Operations and BOP Operations Shift Supervisors to accomplish these objectives and include activities such as ensuring the safe operation of the plant utilities operations and the future disassembly, decommissioning, and disposition of materials.Â
The Process Area Manager has the authority to stop work and/or shut down operations in any part of the operation for which he/she has responsibility. If such authority is exercised, the Process Area Manager must concur with restart of shutdown operations.
Key Deliverables for Process Area Managers:
- Responsible for developing and staffing the organization for the operation of the assigned areas.
- Responsible for compliance with the License for the American Centrifuge Plant.
- Responsible for the management, planning, and oversight of the operational, assembly/disassembly, and disposal activities for the assigned areas.
- Responsible for the operation and surveillance of process equipment in assigned areas.
- Responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the uranium Hexafluoride (UF6) processes, proper receipt, storage, and handling of the uranium material.
- Responsible for integrated planning and scheduling of all work activities within assigned areas.
- Responsible for the performance testing for the Integrated System Test Plan (ISTP) for the assigned area.
- Responsible for the development of procedures and training material required for the operation of the assigned area.
- In the absence of the Operations Manager, this individual may be delegated the responsibilities of the Operations Manager.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security and environmental, safety program, and represented employee’s bargained contract.

We’d Love to Hear from People With:
- Minimum associate’s degree (e.g. Physical Sciences/Engineering/Business/Project Management) or equivalent experience
- Three Years of Industrial/Chemical/Nuclear plant Operations, Maintenance, Engineering or Support Experience
- One year of Supervisory Experience in a Related Industry
