Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California. 

We are currently seeking a Specialist in Human Resources focusing on Payroll & Benefits, located in Mineral Wells/Williamstown, WV reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, Human Resources & Administration.  This individual will be responsible for supporting payroll and benefit administration, timesheet data entry and additional Human Resources administrative functions at the Mineral Wells location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and prepare timecard data and assist corporate payroll in processing; by confirming the accuracy of timecard information and by responding to inquiries and audits. Complete weekly timecard review in preparation for payroll
  • Coordinate local benefits administration by partnering with corporate benefits and providing benefits information to the Team Member.   
  • Answer Staff questions regarding benefits such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401K plan, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance: and assisting in their communication with providers
  • Oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans
  • Manage administrative & transactional work processes for the following:
    • Payroll Recordkeeping
    • ADP System transactions
    • Attendance Counts administration
    • New Hire/Termination (in system)
    • Garnishments
    • Leave Documentation
  • Administer employee PTO and time off programs 
  • Lead Team Members’ wellness program and activities
  • Support administration of Human Resources analytics process

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Communications, or related field, or ability to demonstrate competency through previous work experience
  • Minimum two years of experience in a Human Resources or Administrative role or equivalent combination of experience and education

Skills Required:

  • Good communication and presentation skills 
  • Ability to interact with team members across all levels of the organization
  • Strong computer skills particularly in Microsoft Products including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent organizational skills
