Part-Time Human Resources CoordinatorÂ
603 Legal Aid seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator to support the organization’s HR functions two to three days per week. This role is responsible for recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. The HR Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations while fostering a positive workplace culture. Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Recruitment and CompensationÂ

- Coordinate job postings and candidate outreach.Â

- Screen resumes and schedule interviews.Â

- Conduct reference screenings.Â

- Conduct background checks and new hire paperwork.Â
- Onboarding & OffboardingÂ

- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new employees.Â

- TrainingÂ

- Facilitate offboarding and conduct exit interviews.Â
- Compensation, Benefits & Payroll SupportÂ

- Evaluate compensation in line with organizational goals.Â

- Evaluate benefits needs, satisfaction, and opportunities.Â

- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions.Â

- Maintain records of leave balances and PTO requests.Â
- HR Compliance & Records ManagementÂ

- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws.Â

- Maintain up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data.Â

- Assist with annual policy updates and training coordination.Â

- Manage performance review process. Â
- Employer-Employee Relations Â

- Identify and implement HR best practices.Â

- Serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries.Â

- Support employer in handling employee issues, resignations, and terminations.Â

- Support performance management processes. Â
- Office Culture and EngagementÂ

- Manage employee feedback initiatives.Â

- Assist in organizing staff appreciation events and wellness programs.Â

- Create a safe environment.Â

Skills & AbilitiesÂ
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Â

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Â
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Â
- Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.Â
QualificationsÂ
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Â
- 2+ years of experience in an HR support role.Â
- Familiarity with Bamboo HR, or other HR software and payroll systems preferred.Â
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Â
Compensation & BenefitsÂ
This is a part-time, hourly non-exempt position (up to 22.5 hours per week). The starting rate will be based on experience with an expected range of $23.00 – $27.00 per hour. This position also includes paid time off.  Â
