The Manufacturing Engineer works in a team environment to provide manufacturing engineering support for facilities operating plans, objectives, and control of capital expenditures. The Engineer maintains involvement in the maintenance program, provides technical support as needed, and supports requests from the facility management group to ensure the facility performs to maximum efficiency. They also assist the Employee Health & Safety Manager with environmental, safety and OSHA compliance of assigned facilities. What You’ll Do

  • Manage projects within capital budget approvals to ensure timely and successful completion
  • Prepare and justify capital expenditure requests.
  • Design and detail mechanical and hydraulic jigs, tools, and fixtures.
  • Support maintenance and production teams with technical expertise.
  • Assist in developing and implementing major maintenance projects.
  • Maintain records of plant layouts, equipment, utilities, and processes.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors for pricing and delivery of capital equipment.
  • Oversee purchasing, scheduling, and installation of new and used equipment.
  • Evaluate and recommend capital expenditures to enhance production and cost efficiency.
  • Work within capital budget approvals to ensure projects are completed successfully and on time.
  • Maintain capital assess records for all equipment, including assigning asset numbers for new equipment, tagging all new equipment, and disposing of retired assets 40%.

  • Experience in manufacturing, process improvement, or related roles

  • Embrace opportunities to lead and support team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers) and equipment controllers
