Description
Manages all day-to-day operations related to the development, support, maintenance, and configuration of Revenue Cycle related functions. Responsible for developing, planning, organizing and implementing revenue cycle strategies to bill customers, process payments and improve cash flow.
Responsibilities
- Monitors accounts receivables and cash trends.
- Develops strategic plans and programs for the Revenue Cycle team and ensures that goals and objectives of the team are properly defined and clearly established.
- Assists in resolution of issues to help ensure timely and appropriate conversion of accounts receivable.
- Provides guidance and instruction in the interpretation of policies, procedures and practices.
- Ensures consistency in extension of credit and collections of accounts, following up on collection problems and recommending accounts.
- Provides leadership to managers and professional staff.
- Manages, organizes and monitors the performance productivity of staff in revenue cycle roles.
- Works closely with clinical department staff and leadership to achieve identified departmental benchmarks and objectives to improve processes, resolve problems and enhance communication.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of health care compliance and insurance billing guidelines and rules.
- Demonstrated ability in managing a variety of projects with successful outcomes.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and reporting software.
- Budgeting knowledge employing strong budget and financial analysis.
- Strategic leadership abilities, with experience in successfully building teams, managing staff, and achieving work plan goals, priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including persuasive report writing and the ability to present conclusions before staff, advisory boards and stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex fiscal and administrative concepts to operational staff.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or health related field is required.
