Job Description
As a Control Hardware engineering intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and industry professionals to design, develop and debug control hardware PCBAs for our new cost competitive product offering. Working under the guidance of a dedicated mentor, you’ll gain hands-on experience in circuit design, PCBA design and layout best practices to meet industry certification standards. Your role will involve hardware testing in the laboratory, allowing you to test and troubleshoot PCBAs directly. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to real-world projects while developing crucial skills in control hardware engineering.
Role Responsibilities:

Design control hardware circuits for our new product offering leveraging simulation tools like LTspice

Collaborate with subject matter experts, cross functional teams (mechanical, FW, manufacturing, project managers and product managers) and external suppliers to optimize design, cost and development time

Design and develop PCBAs leveraging best layout practices for noise immunity, EMC and thermal.

Hands-on testing and debugging of printed circuit board assemblies in laboratory to verify the design

Participate in design reviews and document your work

Work effectively with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, and all applicable Stakeholders
Preferred Skills:Â
-
Knowledge of basic semiconductor devices – working and applications
-
Knowledge of analog electronics, digital control and circuit theory
-
Ability to design and simulate electronic circuits using LTSPice
-
Ability to troubleshoot electronics circuits using basic instrumentation devices such as oscilloscopes, DMM, probes etc.

Recommended experience with hardware rework requiring soldering
-
Recommend having experience with PCBA design, layout tools and best practices
-
Recommended having basic knowledge of memory components such as MCU, FPGA and Memory devices
-
Desire to work on a self-organized Scrum Team.

Good communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic Qualifications:

Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree or advanced degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar from an accredited university

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
-
