HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Varsity Brands Facilities Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of Varsity Brands corporate headquarters building in Farmers Branch, TX. This role includes overseeing building systems, coordinating facility maintenance, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, overseeing real estate management, and optimizing the facility’s functionality to support the company’s operations and employee well-being.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in overseeing day-to-day facility operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining secure working environments while managing budgets, improving operational efficiency, and leading facility maintenance programs. A strong knowledge of building systems, emergency preparedness, technical and physical security protocols is preferred.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Oversee all aspects of facilities management for the corporate headquarters, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining a safe and secure environment for over 400 employees.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for headquarters safety, security and facility-related inquiries, addressing issues promptly and fostering a positive workplace environment.
- Ensure all safety and environmental compliance regulations are met, including OSHA, fire codes, and other industry-specific requirements.
- Schedule and supervise necessary inspections like FACP, elevator, back-flow prevention devices, generators etc.
- Lead facility projects, such as renovations, expansions, or system upgrades, from planning through execution.
- Oversee facility related spend, invoice accuracy, contract bids, negotiate payment terms and vendor cost
- Ensure certificate of insurance compliance
- Oversee issues related to Varsity Brands Way, Benchmark, Diplomat and Plano facilities
- Administer the building’s technical and physical security systems, including access control, CCTV monitoring, and on-site security personnel, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory security standards.
- Perform all monthly inspections and fire pump churns.
- Manage facility maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and janitorial services, implementing a preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime. Assist with repairs when possible.
- Manage landscaping and coordinate with vendor on selections, repairs, planting, concerns, etc.
- Routinely provide facility updates to supervisor.
- Manage the coordination of the annual fire drills and emergency evacuations.
- Process and complete all facility work orders and service requests.
- Supervise and assist with mailroom activities and deliveries.
- Event Management (occasionally after hours and weekends)
- Assist with set-up of conference rooms for meetings or training classes.
- Assist with set-up of special events including renting furniture, coordinating set-up, moving furniture

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management
- Proficiency with SAP
- Extensive experience managing and optimizing vendor relationships
- A successful history of driving cost reductions,
- Demonstrated experience in providing thought leadership and strategic insight across multiple business units
- Proven ability to influence business partners and drive cross-functional accountability to ensure successful project outcomes
- Being first aid certified or is willing to become certified is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required. Â
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; drive, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
