Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial insurance market, working closely with underwriters and other key stakeholders.
  • Analyze clients’ insurance needs and present appropriate solutions to mitigate risks and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other industry professionals to drive business growth and retention.
  • Stay updated on market trends, product knowledge, and industry regulations to provide expert advice and guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and support to clients, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in commercial insurance sales and business development, with a deep understanding of the insurance market.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, insurers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse portfolio of clients, while meeting sales targets and performance goals.
  • Relevant industry certifications and licenses (e.g., state insurance producer license) are preferred.

Day-to-day

  • Prospecting for new clients and developing tailored insurance solutions to meet their specific business needs.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships through regular communication and personalized service.
  • Collaborating with underwriters and carriers to negotiate competitive terms and secure appropriate coverage for clients.
  • Monitoring industry developments and market trends to stay informed and provide proactive advice to clients.
  • Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance expertise and knowledge of insurance products and services.
