Summary
 
The Automation Systems Specialist Intern will work closely with our Technology and Operations teams to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation systems across various business functions. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in automation technologies, process improvements, and workflow efficiencies.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
Essential Duties:
  • Write code to automate specific processes.
  • Install databases and applications crucial to automation.
  • Configure hardware and electronic components.
  • Test operating system performance.
  • Collect requirements from end-users to identify automation opportunities and develop effective strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to design, test, and implement automated solutions.
  • Document automation processes, including workflows, diagrams, and technical guides.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems.
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance automation.
  • Participate in team meetings, track project progress, and provide updates and recommendations on process improvements.

Desired Qualifications (Knowledge and Skills)
 
  • Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor’s, or Graduate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Systems Management or related field.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft systems
  • Basic understanding of automation technologies, such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation), scripting languages (Python, JavaScript), or other relevant too
