Jack Daniel’s Properties, Inc. (JDPI) Administrative Assistant helps ensure that JDPI operates at a high level of productivity and efficiency.  The Trademark Assistant provides support to the  Managing Director and all groups within JDPI.  As an integral part of a small team, this person needs to be able to take initiative, think independently, act with an appropriate  sense of urgency and perform tasks of a highly sensitive nature which affect the brands’ valuable trademarks.

This role will be based in our San Rafael, CA office Monday to Thursday, and will be remote Fridays.

Meaningful Work From Day One:

  • Provide general administrative office functions and support the JDPI team by performing tasks including, but not limited to, answering front door, greeting guests, scanning/printing/copying, handling courier/mail deliveries and shipments, ordering office supplies, stocking kitchen, organizing group meetings/office events, and handling office service/maintenance requests

  • Provide support to the Managing Director which includes scheduling meetings, processing expense reports, and other administrative tasks as needed

  • Support lawyers, paralegals, and other JDPI teammates by preparing, revising and coordinating signature of POAs and other documents as needed

  • Create and maintain original registration and agreement files and manage file storage/organization

  • Support accounting group by maintaining petty cash and reviewing select invoices; and other projects as needed

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college (Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred)

  • Minimum two years of work experience in a corporate setting (law firm or corporate legal department experience preferred)

  • Notary certificate or the willingness to acquire notary credentials

  • Ability to plan, organize, work independently, think critically, and remain flexible in a multi-task environment

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Proficiency with Google Workplace a plus)

  • Ability to acquire proficiency on trademark-specific docketing software

  • Ability to write and edit written works, to communicate clearly and tactfully in writing in a legal/business format, and to communicate and act with tact, diplomacy and professionalism

Pay:

The base pay will be $40-$45/hour. Paid semi-monthly, which includes cost of labor allowance equal to 25% of the base salary. NOTE: Base salary range depends on a combination of job-related factors to include candidate skills, experience and internal equity.
