Lake Mead Christian Ministries (LMCM) Minister – Spiritual Formation Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Spiritual Formation
Compensation: $37,000-$43,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Summary: The Spiritual Formation Coordinator (South Campus) supports the direction and vision of the Director of Spiritual Formation through collaboration, organization, and supervision of the Lil’ Eagles (nursery) through 6th grade spiritual formation responsibilities. The Coordinator manages and oversees a variety of developmental initiatives within Lil’ Eagles through 6th grade. This includes, but is not limited to the organization and facilitation of the weekly chapel program, Bible curriculum, family connection/involvement opportunities and/or experiences such as outreach programs and the staff small group experience. The Coordinator develops new opportunities to enhance the worship, discipleship, personal development and spiritual lives of the Lil’ Eagles through 6th grade staff, students, and families. This role is a collaborative position alongside the LMCA Director of Spiritual Formation.
Essential Job Functions:
Serves as the coordinator and manager for all aspects of spiritual formation for Lil’ Eagles through
6thgrade. This includes chapel, Bible, See You At the Pole, conferences, student discipleship and service opportunities.
- Prayerfully contributes to the spiritual components of every grade level event and regular practices (i.e. chapel, Bible, Day of Prayer, etc.).
- Creates opportunities to engage, train, and disciple parents through updates home, events, one-on-one meetings, CCB’s, while encouraging Bible teachers to do the same.
- Oversees the coordination of the Lil’ Eagles through 6th grade chapel program, (i.e. create the chapel calendar, contacts approved speakers, schedules worship, and communicates programs to the campus and to parents.)
- Engages students, staff, and parents at weekly chapels as the Chapel Host, welcoming speakers, sharing important announcements, and praying.
- Collaborates on training and holding accountable all Bible teachers and spiritual leaders on the proper conduct with student discipleship for Lil’ Eagles through 6th grade.
- Collaborates with the ongoing development, management, assessment and expansion of programs and services that promote spiritual formation of the student body, staff, and faculty members.
- Collaborates with the Director of Spiritual Formation in the oversight of the Bible program, and help in the coordination of curriculum, best practices, evaluations and schedules.
- Sends monthly communication home on the spiritual updates for the students’ respective grade level.
- Collaborates on the development and oversight of the organizational matrix for Spiritual Formation for the school ministry.
- Collaborates on the development and oversight of the Life Portfolio system for each student
- Collaborates on maintaining, adjusting, and distributing the department budget.
- Confidently contributes to the SF team as a whole with innovation and creativity.
- Is highly motivated and proactive in executing daily tasks that lead to successful completion of vision and mission.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Holds Bachelor’s degree in Education, Ministry Leadership, Spiritual Formation, Pastoral Ministry, Counseling or related field. (In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of relevant experience.)
- Has a minimum of five (5) years of experience in professional ministry, higher education, or related experience.
- Possesses a strong desire to work with students.Â
- Is spiritually mature Christian in agreement with the LMCM Statement of Faith and committed to the mission, vision, and core values of the LMCM Ministry.
