Responsibilities
Intern role and responsibilities Â
You will be working closely with our Enterprise Risk Management team by supporting tasks such as research, data clean-up or analysis, and administrative tasks that support the team’s core functions. You may also undertake special projects as needed. Â
In this role you will support the Risk Manager regarding all aspects of the enterprise-wide risk management program. Responsibilities include identifying, assessing, monitoring, and controlling risks throughout the organization, developing reporting, and process flows. Â
Specifically, you will:Â
- Conduct risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of controlsÂ
- Identify control issues and perform root cause analysisÂ
- Create action plans to remediate issues, and manage remediation process through implementationÂ
- Perform analysis, identify trends, and create reporting for internal useÂ
- Support ERM projects and initiatives to drive improvements to key processes and controlsÂ
- Assist with processes for assigned enterprise risk programs, which can include tracking risk status and key risk indicator reporting, following-up with departments to ensure task completion, and reporting status and resultsÂ
- Create process flowsÂ
- Perform ad hoc requests in line with business prioritiesÂ
- Collaborate with individuals outside of the ERM team as neededÂ
Qualifications
 Field of StudyÂ
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or Information Technology.Â

*Location: We strongly prefer candidates who can commute to Schaumburg, IL for orientation as well as 3-4 in-person meetings throughout the summer. We will consider select remote locations within the U.S., but preference will be given to local candidates.Â
