Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Insurance Department Manager to join our team and drive growth of the department. Reporting to the Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the CL Department, managing a team of 20-30 employees, and servicing a book of approximately $1MM in revenue. The ideal candidate will possess extensive management experience and the ability to handle a large book of business.

Responsibilities
– Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Lines Department
– Lead and manage a team of 20-30 employees, including training, performance evaluations, and team development
– Service a book of around $1MM in revenue, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction
– Handle new and renewal business quoting, including negotiating terms and conditions
– Develop and implement strategies to grow and retain business, meeting and exceeding revenue targets
– Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including carriers, clients, and underwriters
– Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives

Qualifications/Requirements
– 10+ years of proven experience in the insurance industry with a focus on commercial lines
– Active P&C (Property & Casualty) license in good standing
– Proficiency in EPIC software and other relevant industry tools
– Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
– Proven track record of effectively managing a large book of business
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
– Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
