Position: STRUCTURAL ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING (SEIT)
Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina
Salary: Based on experience
Industry: Construction / Civil Engineering / Bridges
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days home

Specific Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Possess an in-depth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes, design criteria, and structural mechanics.
- Design permanent structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE walls, etc.
- Design temporary structures, including but not limited to:
- Formwork/Falsework Design
- Erection, Demolition, and Heavy Lift Planning
- Support of Excavation Systems
- Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
- Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
- Fall Protection Systems
- Barge Analysis
- Provide on-site design engineering support and inspections.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to resolve issues.
- Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors and/or Masters Degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university (Masters Degree or greater is preferred).
- A GPA above 3.0 is highly preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with permanent and temporary structures, construction engineering, or construction labor is a plus.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or the ability to do so within the first year of employment.
- Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering.
- Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA-3D, MathCAD, SkyCiv, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Team player and self-motivated to achieve success.
