Financial Controller

Company Overview: 
We are a fast-growing SaaS technology company generating $10 to $15 million in annual revenue. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team and play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our financial operations. This remote position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health and strategic direction of a dynamic organization. 

Position Summary: 
The Financial Controller will oversee all aspects of financial planning, financial reporting, and financial compliance. The role includes managing accounting operations, including accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), general ledger (GL), and payroll. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and accounting within the SaaS or technology sector. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Financial Planning & Analysis: 

• • Develop and manage financial budgets, forecasts, and models. 

• Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and strategy. 

1. Financial Reporting: 

• • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS. 

• • Present financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders. 

1. Financial Compliance: 

• • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements. 

• • Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors. 

1. Accounting Operations Management: 

• • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, and payroll. 

• • Implement and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures. 

• • Optimize financial systems and processes for efficiency. 

1. Team Leadership: 

• • Lead and develop the finance team (if applicable). 

• • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred. 

• 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting, with at least 2 years in a SaaS or technology company. 

• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial compliance requirements. 

• Experience with financial software and ERP systems. 

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong communication and leadership abilities. 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote working environment.
