Summary:  

Ferrotec (USA) Ferrotec (USA) Corporation is a rapidly growing high tech
manufacturer headquartered in Santa Clara CA with operations in Bedford NH and
Livermore, CA. Ferrotec is a diversified technology company with a worldwide
presence in a broad array of end products and industries serving primarily the
semiconductor industry. We provide our customers with advanced material,
component, system, and manufacturing solutions.   

The intern will report to Sustaining Engineering Manager and assist in
the research, development and implementation of complete and accurate
mechanical drawings, bill of material and other engineering documents for electron
beam deposition equipment engineering or manufacturing purposes.  

PRIMARY responsibilites:  

· Work with
experienced engineering team members to research, plan, design, develop and
document mechanical/electrical components, assemblies and systems
for Ferrotec electron beam evaporation equipment.  

· Perform basis high vacuum
chamber part or assembly design and/or design modifications as directed.   

· Assist team members in
planning, problem solving, implementation and document control.   

· Execute plans to improve
product quality and reduce product cost.  

· Thrive in a team environment.  

qualifications:  

· Completion of at least two
years toward a four-year degree in a university mechanical engineering program
or relevant engineering discipline. GPA 3.5 or better preferred.  

· Excellent verbal and written
communication skills.  

· Basic knowledge of GD&T.
Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles in design calculations.  

· Experience with SolidWorks or
other CAD software.  

· Comfortable with using small
hand tools, including digital calipers and multimeters.  

· Teamwork experience. Academic research
assistant experience preferred.  

· Computer proficiency (MS Office,
Matlab).
